Awards Assembly

We will check out books until Monday, May 7. Please have all our books turned in by Tuesday, May 8.  Please continue to read to your child every day.
Our end of the year awards assembly will be Friday, May 11, at 8:30 am.  We want to celebrate the end of a successful school year.  Pre-k may dress up as characters they pick for their award. Your child may wear their costume for the awards assembly.
Please use alphabet flashcards with your child at least once a week this summer to help with retention.  If they don't use it they will lose it.  Please read at least two books with your child everyday.  Remember the number one way to teach children how to read is by reading to them.  I have a list of learning shows on my class site. There are many excellent learning shows on PBS.  Super Why and Word World are outstanding and can really help children learn how to read! PBS kids is also a great website.
The Tulsa and Sapulpa Libraries have wonderful free summer reading programs.  The children can get $80.00 worth of coupons to go to places like the zoo and aquarium just for reading books and visiting the library.  Kids may visit any library to see the free performances.  The have magic shows, juggling, Native American Dancers, dog shows, and many more that are all free.  Check the Tulsa Library website.  The Pratt Library has a big kick off.    Thank you for a great year, Jen Jones
