  Our theme this week is “Insects”. 
We will be learning about ants, dragonflies, and many other insects.
Our class will study the fascinating life cycle of butterflies and the important role bees play in pollination and making honey. 
We will learn how many body parts and legs insects have and what they eat.
 Our letter is “I”. 
We will also talk about iguanas because they are awesome and start with the letter “I”.
Iguanas are reptiles and most species of this lizard live in the Americas.
They are often seen sunning themselves on branches overhanging water.
If disturbed, they plunge into the water.
Iguanas eat leaves, fruits, insects, small mammals, and birds.
The marine iguana of the Galápagos Islands eats seaweed.
  Ask your child the following questions. 
What is metamorphosis?
What does a caterpillar change into?
Which insects make honey?
Which is your favorite insect?
Which insects eat mosquitoes? 
Who is the fastest flying insect?  
Are there more people or more insects in the world? 
Which insect would you like to be for a day? 
Are iguanas in the reptile or mammal class?
What are iguanas?(lizards)
  Ask your child to tell you the definition of our vocabulary words.
